Varun Dhawan’s Citadel: Honey Bunny Loses to Squid Game at Critics Choice Awards 2025

It was a night of intense competition at the Critics Choice Awards 2025, and despite high hopes, Varun Dhawan’s much-anticipated spy thriller Citadel: Honey Bunny failed to secure a win. The Hindi-language prequel to Amazon Prime Video’s Citadel lost the Best Foreign Language Series title to Netflix’s global sensation Squid Game.

Fans of the action-packed series, which also stars Samantha Ruth Prabhu, were left disappointed as the trophy slipped away. Citadel: Honey Bunny had been widely praised for its gripping storyline and high-stakes espionage, but it wasn’t enough to surpass the massive cultural impact of Squid Game.

Tough Competition in the Global Arena

The category featured an impressive lineup, including:

  • Acapulco (Apple TV+)
  • La Maquina (Hulu)
  • The Law According to Lidia Poet (Netflix)
  • My Brilliant Friend (HBO Max)
  • Pachinko (Apple TV+)
  • Senna (Netflix)

While Squid Game ultimately took the prize, the nomination of Citadel: Honey Bunny was a testament to India’s growing prominence in global entertainment.

A Setback for Indian Contenders

Adding to the night’s disappointments, Payal Kapadia’s All We Imagine As Light also lost out in the Best Foreign Film category to Emilia Perez.

Varun Dhawan’s Foray Into the Spy Universe

A prequel to Priyanka Chopra’s Citadel, Honey Bunny dives into the thrilling backstory of Nadia Sinh’s parents. With an ensemble cast featuring Kay Kay Menon, Simran, Sikandar Kher, Saqib Saleem, Soham Majumdar, Shivankit Singh Parihar, and Thalaivaasal Vijay, the show brought Bollywood-level action to the streaming space.

Though the Critics Choice Award remains elusive, Citadel: Honey Bunny has firmly positioned itself as a strong Indian contender in the world of international spy thrillers. Could future seasons turn the tide? Fans are certainly hopeful!

iOS 18.3.1 Update for iPhone: Small Tweaks on the Way Before Launch

Last month, Apple launched the iOS 18.3 update for iPhone and is gearing up for a major update in April, likely bringing significant changes to Apple Intelligence. However, before iOS 18.4 arrives, reports suggest that Apple is working on another update—iOS 18.3.1. This minor update is expected to focus on bug fixes and security enhancements.

iOS 18.3.1 Update for iPhone

According to analytics logs shared by MacRumors, Apple is currently working on the iOS 18.3.1 update for iPhone, which is expected to be released in the coming weeks. While the update isn’t anticipated to bring major new features, it’s likely to include similar tweaks and improvements as seen in the iOS 18.2.1 update launched in January. The report suggests that these logs serve as a reliable source for tracking upcoming iOS updates.

The iOS 18.3.1 update is expected to address any bugs reported in previous versions, as well as include security patches for identified vulnerabilities. It may also build upon the changes introduced in the iOS 18.3 update. Notably, Apple had rolled back AI-powered Notification Summaries for News and Entertainment content after receiving criticism from the BBC over the inclusion of false information in AI-generated summaries. This update could further refine those adjustments.

In the meantime, Apple is also focused on the upcoming iOS 18.4 update, expected to launch in April. Previous reports indicate that this update could bring a revamped version of Siri, a feature Apple has been promoting since WWDC 2024. This new iteration of Siri may introduce enhanced capabilities and improvements to the virtual assistant experience.

Along with its current features, the updated Siri in iOS 18.4 is expected to have the ability to access a user’s personal data, such as reading on-screen content to respond to queries more accurately. It could also analyze emails, messages, photos, calendar events, files, and other data to provide more personalized and relevant answers. Additionally, the update may bring a broader selection of emojis and support for more languages, further enhancing the user experience.

Jharkhand Set to Recruit 60,000 Teachers : Education Minister Ramdas Soren Announces Hiring Process Will Start Soon”

Jharkhand Set To Recruit 60,000 Teachers
"Jharkhand Set to Recruit 60,000 Teachers, Excludes CTET-Qualified Applicants"

The Jharkhand government is gearing up for an extensive recruitment campaign to hire 60,000 teachers throughout the state. School Education and Literacy Minister Ramdas Soren revealed that the recruitment process will kick off soon, sharing the news during the Foundation Day celebration of Utkal Samaj in Golmuri.

The recruitment will take place in multiple phases:

  • 26,000 teachers will be selected through the Jharkhand Teacher Eligibility Test (JTET).
  • 10,000 teachers will be hired specifically for regional languages.
  • The remaining 25,000 to 26,000 teachers will be appointed in the following phase.

Minister Soren also instructed officials to promptly address any pending issues related to teacher appointments to avoid delays.

Prioritizing Regional and Tribal Language Education

The Jharkhand government is dedicated to enhancing the teaching of tribal and regional languages in schools. Chief Minister Hemant Soren has underscored the importance of weaving these languages into the curriculum, starting from the upcoming academic year. To ensure effective implementation, a team of educational experts has already visited West Bengal to examine their language education models and is ready to look into practices in Odisha, if needed.

To enhance the teacher-student ratio, the current rule of one teacher for every 30-50 students is being revised. According to the new guidelines:

  • One teacher will be assigned for every 10-30 students.
  • If the class size exceeds 30 students, two teachers will be appointed.

The Education Minister noted that these adjustments will help streamline the recruitment process, particularly for teachers of regional and tribal languages.

Supreme Court Ruling on Assistant Teacher Recruitment

This announcement follows a significant Supreme Court ruling that affects the Jharkhand Assistant Teacher Recruitment 2025. The court has decided that only JTET-qualified candidates will be eligible for selection, overturning a previous Jharkhand High Court order that allowed CTET and other state TET candidates to apply for the 26,001 assistant teacher vacancies.
