DCP (Railways) KPS Malhotra further elaborated that the presence of the Prayagraj Express at platform 14 led to massive crowds, compounded by passengers of the Swatantrata Senani Express and Bhubaneswar Rajdhani waiting on platforms 12, 13, and 14 due to train delays. He revealed that approximately 1,500 general tickets had been sold, making crowd control extremely challenging.

Legendary Bengali singer-songwriter Pratul Mukhopadhyay passed away on Saturday at the age of 82. He was receiving treatment for age-related health issues at Kolkata’s SSKM Hospital, where he sadly passed away in the morning.

He was widely celebrated for his timeless songs, including the iconic “Ami Banglay Gaan Gai” and “Dinga Bhasao Sagore.”

Mukhopadhyay had been grappling with health challenges for an extended period, and despite receiving medical care, his condition deteriorated in recent weeks. West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee had personally visited him at the hospital, and a special medical board was set up to manage his treatment. Sadly, he remained bedridden until his passing.

Born in 1942 in Barisal (now in Bangladesh), Mukhopadhyay later settled in West Bengal, where he became a pivotal figure in Bengali music and songwriting. CBSE 2025 Board Exams for 10th and 12th Graders Kick Off Tomorrow!

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is all set to kick off the 2025 board exams for both class 10 and 12 students tomorrow, February 15. The first exam for class 10 will be English, taking place in a single shift from 10:30 am to 1:30 pm. At the same time, class 12 students will be tackling the entrepreneurship paper. Students will also be given an additional 15 minutes to read through the exam paper before beginning.

Candidates are reminded to bring their CBSE admit card 2025 and school ID for entry into the exam hall. Admit cards for both regular and private students are already available on the official portal. Students who haven’t yet downloaded or collected them from their schools should do so promptly.

Approximately 44 lakh students from 8,000 schools across India and abroad are expected to appear for the exams. In order to ensure smooth proceedings, the CBSE has heightened security at exam centers, with each center now equipped with closed-circuit television (CCTV) surveillance.
