PM Kisan: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will release the 19th installment of the PM-Kisan scheme from Bhagalpur in Bihar on Monday. This initiative will provide financial assistance of ₹ 2,000 to about 10 crore farmer families across the country, taking the total amount of ₹ 22,000 crore to be directly transferred to the farmers’ accounts.
Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said, “The release of this amount under the PM-Kisan scheme symbolizes its successful completion of six years. This scheme is playing an important role in strengthening the economic condition of farmers across the country.”
Under the PM-Kisan scheme, which started in February 2019, so far an amount of more than ₹ 3.46 lakh crore has been distributed to more than 11 crore farmer families across the country through 18 installments, strengthening their economic condition.
Under the PM-Kisan scheme, landholding farmer families across the country are given financial assistance of ₹6,000 annually in three equal installments of ₹2,000 every four months directly into their bank accounts through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT). The scheme is one of the largest DBT schemes in the world, providing direct benefits to crores of farmers.
What is PM Kisan Yojana?
The Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana (PM-Kisan) is a central scheme, which was launched to provide financial assistance to small and marginal farmers of India. Under this scheme, eligible farmers are given assistance of ₹6,000 in a financial year, which is deposited directly into the bank accounts in three equal installments of ₹2,000.

PM Kisan: Who is eligible?
To get the 19th installment of PM-Kisan scheme, farmers have to fulfill these conditions:
- Must be an Indian citizen.
- Must own cultivable land.
- Must be a small or marginal farmer.
- Retired persons receiving pension of ₹10,000 or more are not eligible.
- Farmers who file income tax are not eligible for this scheme.
- Institutional landholders cannot avail the scheme.

- Visit the official website of PM Kisan https://pmkisan.gov.in.
- Click on the “Beneficiary Status” section on the home page.
- Enter the Aadhaar number or account number.
- Click on “Get Data”.
- Your beneficiary status will appear on the screen.
PM Kisan: How to link mobile number?
If your mobile number is not updated, link it like this:
- Visit the nearest Common Service Center (CSC) or log in to https://pmkisan.gov.in.
- Select the “Update Mobile Number” option on the home page.
- Enter the Aadhaar number and new mobile number.
- Submit the request for verification.
