Kris Gopalakrishnan: The case was filed at the Sadashiva Nagar police station following the instructions issued by the 71st City Civil and Sessions Court (CCH).

A case was filed on Monday against Infosys co-founder Senapathy Kris Gopalakrishnan, former IISc Director Balaram, and 16 others under the Prevention of SC/ST Atrocities Act.
The case was registered at the Sadashiva Nagar police station following the orders of the 71st City Civil and Sessions Court (CCH).
The complainant, Durgappa, a member of the tribal Bovi community, was previously a faculty member at the Centre for Sustainable Technology at the Indian Institute of Science (IISc).
He alleges that in 2014, he was wrongly implicated in a honey trap case, leading to his dismissal from service. Additionally, he claims to have been subjected to caste-based abuse and threats.
The individuals implicated in this case include Govindan Rangarajan, Sridhar Warrier, Sandya Vishwswaraih, Hari K V S, Dasappa, Balaram P, Hemalata Mhishi, Chattopadyaya K, Pradeep D Sawkar, and Manoharan.
At present, there has been no official comment from the faculty members of the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), nor from Kris Gopalakrishnan, who holds a position on the IISc Board of Trustees.
